Presentation market study on Malaysian sustainable airport development

Last week, Emma Flores Herrera from NACO presented the recently conducted market study on Malaysian sustainable airport development at the NAG office in The Hague, in hybrid format. Multiple NAG-members actively participated.

The study was commissioned by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Malaysia and developed by Netherlands Airport Consultants (NACO), with the aim to identify business and investment opportunities for Dutch companies specialising in sustainable and digital infrastructure. Gyatri Jay Das, representative of the Dutch embassy in Malaysia, was present to answer any questions from participants.

The presentation provided valuable insights into Malaysia’s airport situation and development plans. It illustrated:

  • Ownership and operation of airports in Malaysia
  • Governance and airport development funding
  • Identified plans for airports expansions and/or upgrades
  • Plans for greenfield airports developments
  • Key decarbonization initiatives for airports
  • Identified adaptation and integration of digitalization initiatives at airports

The full market study report is available on request.

During the week of 30 June a Trade Mission to Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak will take place. This is a great opportunity to:

  • Connect with top industry players
  • Explore project opportunities
  • Showcase your solutions to key airport stakeholders
