3D Printing has been around for many years as a promising breakthrough technology. But can it already be used in Aerospace? For manufacturing or maybe also for maintenance or faster product development? What are the advantages and maybe challenges still ahead? How to qualify 3D printing, and what technologies are available or emerging? Can it be combined with existing technologies? Many questions but there are also great opportunities.
Based on requests by members, NAG has set up a cluster for all parties involved in 3D Printing, both for users and suppliers of the technology and for engineering firms, research institutes and other interested parties.
We would like to invite you for the online 3D printing cluster meeting on Thursday November 19th from 09:00 am - 10:30 am. During this first meeting of the 3D printing acquaintance and introduction of the 3D-technology will be central theme.
09:00 Welcome by Marcus Kremers, CTO Airborne, board member NAG
09:05 Presentation(s) by 3D-experts:
- Metal: Marc de Smit, R&D Engineer by NLR-Netherlands Aerospace Centre
- Plastic: Remco de Jong, International Sales Manager by Bond High Performance 3D Technology (Bond3D)
- Composite: Richard Janssen, Business Development Manager – Additive manufacturing by Brightlands Material Center.
09:30 Introduction to participants. Every participant will be given the opportunity to present the interest of his/her company in 3D
10:25 Rounding up en next steps
10:30 End of 3D-cluster meeting
In order to make the meeting accessible to as many participants as possible in COVID-19 times we have decided to organize the session online.
Due to the special situation in which we find ourselves, the NAG will temporarily not charge any costs for participating in online activities.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Thessa Roos at Thessa.Roos@nag.aero or (+31) 6 28807311.
We look forward to welcoming you at the online 3D printing cluster meeting on November 19th, 2020.
