Trade Mission Portugal
Preparations are underway for a dedicated aviation mission to Lisbon in 2026, bringing together international stakeholders to explore Portugal’s evolving airport sector.
The mission is planned for the week of 25 May 2026, with a provisional start on Tuesday 26 May and will offer a focused programme combining strategic insights, industry exchange, and networking opportunities.
Focus on major Airport Developments
The programme centres on Portugal’s airport development agenda, including the future Lisbon airport in Alcochete. This greenfield project is set to become the country’s main aviation hub in the coming decade and is among the most significant airport developments currently planned in Europe. Participants will gain insight into its planning, infrastructure and long-term vision, alongside broader developments in the Portuguese aviation landscape.
Meetings and networking opportunities
The mission aims to include meetings with key stakeholders, including ANA (Airports of Portugal), ANAC (National Civil Aviation Authority), NAV Portugal and TAP Air Portugal, offering opportunities for direct engagement with organisations shaping the sector. A networking reception will complement the programme, creating additional opportunities to connect with a wider group of industry representatives.
Integration with AEDDays 2026
The mission will coincide with AEDDays 2026 on 29 May, organised by AED in partnership with IATA. The event focuses on Green Aviation, Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), and Airports, adding a broader international and thematic dimension to the programme.
