“The Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG) supports companies and institutes in strengthening the Dutch sustainable aviation ecosystem as part of National Growth Fund project Luchtvaart in Transitie. Our activities help companies/institutes position themselves in the (inter)national value chain—key to building earning capacity and achieving climate impact.”

What we do

  • Support the Ecosystem: Supporting the entire Dutch ecosystem in addressed collective challenges and needs.
  • Clarity through insight: Our Ecosystem Mapping Tool identifies technologies, TRL levels, regional clusters, and capabilities.
  • Knowledge & valorisation: Unlocking relevant knowledge from aviation (e.g. certification & IP) and other Dutch sectors.
  • Cross-sector opportunities: We identify relevant cross-sectoral ecosystems and organize targeted matchmaking sessions.
  • Access to global players: We map the OEM & Tier 1 ecosystem, identify their needs and initiate new international R&D projects.
  • Collaboration in Certification: We link the Dutch ecosystem to EU-funded initiatives like CONCERTO.

Whats Next?

Ecosystem Survey: Extensive in-depth interviews will be conducted to map the current needs, opportunities, and obstacles among parties in the Dutch ecosystem. Based on the outcomes, joint initiatives may be launched to remove barriers, unlock untapped potential, connect actors in the ecosystem and/or better align knowledge demand and supply.

Ecosystem Mapping: in addition to mapping the Dutch aviation ecosystem, international & cross-sectoral ecosystems will be further identified as well. Using the updated Ecosystem Mapping Tool, this provides the opportunity to identify demand and supply and facilitate matchmaking session to valorize these competences and capabilities.

International Collaboration: To facilitate effective matchmaking sessions between the Dutch and international ecosystems, it is crucial to map relevant international OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, their roles within the ecosystem, and key points of contact. This allows us to present the Dutch value proposition to relevant stakeholders, identify specific OEM and Tier 1 needs, and organize targeted matchmaking sessions — ultimately aiming to initiate new bi-/multinational research-, development-, and innovation projects.
