On Tuesday, September 24th, the HR-Cluster Meeting on ‘Diversity & Inclusion’ was held at Fokker Services Group in Hoofddorp. The event began with a networking lunch, followed by a welcome from Nathalie van der Valk, Director of People & Culture at Fokker Services Group.
Keynote speaker Esther Mollema delivered an inspiring presentation on the importance of diversity for organisational growth. During the session, participants shared their experiences and opinions, with many acknowledging that unconscious biases often lead them to select candidates who “fit” seamlessly with existing teams. However, stepping outside this comfort zone was recognised as key to fostering innovation and achieving greater success.
To explore these ideas further, attendees participated in an interactive game designed to provoke deeper discussions on diversity and inclusion. The game, split into two parts, featured thought-provoking questions that encouraged dialogue among participants.

The event wrapped up with a networking drink, providing a great opportunity for attendees to exchange insights and discuss how to implement more inclusive practices in their organisations.
