Information meeting: DIS IP
On Wednesday May 22 the NAG organized an information meeting about the new Defence Industry Strategy (DIS) and Industrial Participation (IP).
Dimitri van Rijn from The Commissariat for Military Production (CMP) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy has offered this exclusively to the members of the NAG. Dimitri van Rijn gave a presentation which focused on the opportunities that the DIS and IP can offer to big companies, small SME’s and start-ups.
After the presentation by Dimitri, three presentations of practical examples were given by:
- Jeroen de Vries, KVE – Thermoplastic Wielding
- Mike van den Broek, GKN Fokker Aerospace structures – Thermoplastic Anti-Ballistic Floor Panels
- Wouter Biemans, QuinteQ Energy Storage – Flywheel
The participants experienced that the new DIS/IP opportunities are also for SME’s and start-ups and not just for the big companies.
The meeting was attended by a small group of participants. As a result, everyone had an active input and sharp questions were asked during the discussion. After the presentations and discussion it was time for a networking drink at the NAG office.
