The Young NAG is looking for a new board member! Are you interested in working on the future of the aviation sector together with other young professionals within the aviation sector? Join us to give the youth a voice and work together with your peers from all across the Dutch and international aviation sector.
What is the young NAG?
We are the youth branch of the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG). Our goal is to provide the youth within the aviation sector with a community, events and support. Connecting at a younger age will increase the impact we can make in the future. We also advocate the growing support for sustainability, digitalisation and personal development within aviation on behalf of students and young professionals in aviation.
We organize up to six events for Young NAG members per year, and invite our members to join us at a number of general NAG events including air shows such as the ILA and Le Bourget, but also to relevant events on sustainability or digitalization as well as NAG general assemblies.
The Young NAG was founded in 2020 by two of our current board members, and aims to continue growing to provide young aviation professionals with support.
Role and activities
As a member of the Young NAG, you will work together with the four other board members to organize events, engage with youth in aviation and advocate the voice of the youth within the NAG and with our international youth partners. The board meets twice a month, and presence at the majority of the events is expected from the board members.
We are looking for someone who wants to take the initiative and is intrinsically motivated to support youth in aviation. We expect a weekly contribution of 2-4 hours, though this can fluctuate depending on the Young NAG agenda.
What we can provide
An enthusiastic team from different types of companies and academic backgrounds. As a board member you will have the opportunity to speak on behalf of the youth in aviation with relevant stakeholders and at important events. It is a great way to develop your organizational and interpersonal skills and to increase your network. The Young NAG board member is a voluntary position, however travel costs to events, etc. are reimbursed.
Applying
Please send your CV and a short motivation (max ½ A4) to Young@nag.aero by the 15th of Sept. We will get back to you on your application and invite selected respondents to a short interview in the last two weeks of sept. We hope to have the new board member start on the 1st of Oct.
The Young NAG supports a diverse and inclusive aviation sector. Your talent is more important than your gender, gender (identity and expression), origin, age, orientation, disability or chronic illness. Apply and help build the diverse society of tomorrow!
