Successful first visit to Iran

In the wake of the trade mission headed by Mr. Henk Kamp, Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, a delegation of aerospace and airport development companies had their first visit to Iran from 7 – 10 May 2016.

The delegation met with all important airlines, the civil aviation authority and the ministry of transport over the course of the visit. In addition, a Trade Dinner and networking opportunities were organised by the Embassy related to the visit of Minister Kamp. Frank Jansen, NAG’s managing director and head of the aerospace delegation, indicated that there are many opportunities in the fields of MRO, spare parts, logistic services, training and airport development. All participating companies experienced the possibilities first hand and have indicated to continue their efforts in Iran. The NAG will continue to support its members in their journey into Iran and also the Minister is motivated to limit barriers for doing aviation related business in Iran.

André Velda, CMO SAMCO Aircraft Maintenance:
“This week’s mission to Iran, organized by the NAG and MVI as part of the Minister Kamp mission, surpassed my expectations. Meeting the important airlines resulted in an interesting business case for NAG members. I trust the NAG will continue to facilitate the development of this business case.”
