The Dutch well represented at the China Airshow 2016
From Tuesday 1 November until Sunday 6 November 2016 the China Airshow 2016 took place in Zhuhai, China. With 7 Dutch companies/ NAG members the Dutch Aerospace industry was well represented on the Holland Pavilion at the biggest and most important Airshow in the Asian region.
Besides the 6 members of the Partners in Business (PIB) group D2Ragon; ADSE, DNW, Fokker Technologies, KVE, NLR and Ten Cate Advanced Composites the Dutch company Straaltechniek International, which for many years is doing business in Asia, completed the Pavilion. The members of the Partners in Business (PIB) group D2Ragon have a focus on China for 3 years to improve their business and knowledge with Chinese companies and government.
The week started off well with several high potential meetings with Comac and a special visit from Astrid Boschker (Senior Policy Advisor) and Evelyn Geurtsen (Innovation & Knowledge Management Manager) from the Ministry of Economics and a delegation from the Dutch Embassy in Beijing with Taake Manning, Science & Technology Counsellor as mission leader. The Business days were limited till 3 days at the Airshow but during those days the (random) business meetings were very interesting/ high potential. These business leads will be follow up by the NAG and the members in the coming year.
Next year the NAG is organizing a Holland Pavilion at the Aviation Expo in Beijing (19/09 – 22/09 2017). We already secured a good location next to Embraer and close to Comac and other OEMs. If you are interested to participate, please contact Mikel Vogels for more information.
