Innovation Mission Sustainable Aviation – USA
Goal of mission
The Dutch industry and knowlegde institutes have to ensure their place in the future of aviation. The innovation mission sustainable aviation to the USA contibrutes to the development and expansion of the Dutch R&T- and business opportunities. The technology being developed now by companies such as Boeing, will be the start of sustainable aviation and with it the chances for positioning the Dutch ecosystem in the supply chain.
- Getting insight into the developments and challenges surrounding sustainable aviation manufacturing and supply chain
- Strengthening the collaboration with the innovation ecosystem
- Grow the visibility of the Dutch ecosystem, knowledge position and developments
- Explore and develop of NL-USA project- and research collaborations
This visit to the United States of America is in line with the goals of the national growth fund programme Luchtvaart in Transitie. The exploration of collaboration in the area of research, development and production of the planes of the future are the focus of this innovation mission. The exploration of the necessary innovations in maintenance and operational systems on airports are also topics of interest.
For whom?
Are you an entrepeneur, technology provider or researcher connected to a knowledge institutes in the theme sustainable aviation? Then this mission is interesting for you.
The mission is aimed at R&T managers, business development managers, CTO's and CEO's of interested companies (SME and corporates) and knowledge institutes. The mission is limited to around 20 participants (excl. organisation). Per participating institution 2 people can participate.
Final participation depends on the number of available places. The organisation will also see how well your expertise fits within the scope and goal of the mission. Your registration does therefore not mean that you will be accepted for the mission. You will receive a definitive confirmation after the registration is closed.
Concept Programme
The mission programme is still in development. The organisation tries to accommodate specific wishes from the participants.

Possible visit to Gulfstream in Savannah and/or Boeing in Charleston
Examples of central issues of the innovation mission: Lightweight materials, smart sensors, smart maintenance, electrification, propulsion and sustainable aviation fuels.
Costs
The cost for participation for the innovation mission are €250 ex. VAT per person. This includes participation in the collective programme, transfers van en naar programme parts, lunches and dinners when mentioned in the programme. Costs exclude travel and accommodation costs, all individual costs and possible costs for matchmaking.
