On Thursday 29 August, the NL Aviation Plaza was officially opened at the World Trade Center (WTC) in The Hague. NAG Advancing your Aerospace and Airport Business, Lucht- en Ruimtevaart Nederland (LRN) and Luchtvaart in Transitie believe in stronger collaborations and with that in mind have moved to a joint office space in World Trade Center (WTC) The Hague.
Over 100 members and stakeholders gathered for the grand opening, where Frank Jansen (NAG), Ron van Manen (Luchtvaart in Transitie), and Aad Veenman (LRN) delivered speeches. They emphasised the strategic decision to relocate to The Hague, a location close to key government bodies, enabling more streamlined consultations and collaborations. They also expressed optimism about the aviation sector’s future, with a strong focus on sustainability.
The ceremonial opening was performed by Saskia Bruines, Alderman for Finance, Economic Development, and Culture for The Hague. Her presence, along with representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Province of Zuid-Holland, and Municipality of The Hague, highlighted the broad support for the sector’s forward-looking vision.
Adriaan Leyte, who is affiliated with all three organisations, pleasantly hosted the event. The day concluded with a celebratory toast, not only in honour of the new NL Aviation Plaza but also as a symbol of the aviation industry’s commitment to a sustainable future. This new collaborative workspace is set to play an important role in shaping the future of the sector.
