Webinar: Perception of passenger safety during air travel in times of pandemic – midterm progress

Coronavirus, a novel type of virus that emerged worldwide in 2020, has had a profound impact on the aviation industry worldwide. Air travel has been slowed down by factors such as ubiquitous quarantine, travel bans and restrictions, unfavorable economic conditions, or people's less willingness to fly.

Embraer decided to pursue a project aiming to explore passengers’ emotional states and behaviors when flying during the coronavirus outbreak, to understand better the underlying concerns of travelers and reinforce their confidence in flying after the pandemic.

With the purpose of making the research  more valuable, some workshops will be held with passengers, airliners, Embraer specialists and NAG members.

What is it about?

An online presentation and discussion session in which industry professionals will meet together to brainstorm concepts for improving the feeling of viral safety on the plane. This is with a goal of increasing confidence in flying and help accelerate the recovery of the sector. This research has been conducted by Maciej Zawierucha, a Master student in a collaboration between Delft University of Technology and Embraer.

Date: Wednesday 20th January 2021, 10:00 - 11:30 CET

The workshop will take place online. Register now!
