On September 11th, 2023 the fourth interactive event for Airport Development Professionals took place. We like to thank Breda International Airport in cooperation with the Brabant Ontwikkelings Maatschappij (BOM) for hosting the meeting.
The theme of the meeting was: What should the infrastructure look likd at the airports to make the three sustainable energy resources (SAF, H2 and power/batteries) aviailabe for aviation. What are the barriers and conceivable solutions for them.
Ruud Ummels, managing director To70, acted as chairman of the day on behalf of the NAG. Roland Grimm, programme manager BOM gave a presentation about “Brabant and Sustainable Aviation”.
After that there were four short pitches:
- Philippe Massart, Airport Consultant NACO “‘Impact of Hydrogen on airport infrastructure & operations”
- Kris Pauwels, Business Development Manager Renewable Aviation “Neste’s view on the SAF market”
- Jurjen de Jong, chairman Electric Flying Connection (EFC) “Battery electric flying & the electric airport”
- Stef Have “Roadmap Breda International Airport on theme of the meeting”
After the presentations there was a panel discussion with all te speakers led by Vincent de Haes, Sustainable Aviation Consultant To70, Board Member Young “Road to success: When, where and which energy source?”
The meeting ended with a network drink.
