Price pressure: How to deal with increasingly competitive (foreign) pricing policies

In a progressively globalising market, price pressure is one of the biggest threats to the profit and thereby the continuity of manufacturing companies. Addressing the challenges to keep a competitive edge in the pricing battle is complicated and headache-inducing.

Difficult decisions are to be made;

“Do we look elsewhere for suitable production facilities? And if so, where?” or “We have tried everything to work as efficiently as we possibly can, is there anything else we can do to improve our processes?”  and “Will the investments in robots relay pay off or are we just buying time?”

You are kindly invited to join a round table on November 28th about price pressure and how to deal with it.  By sharing stories, experiences and ideas of other manufacturing companies you will learn about the pros and cons of possible solutions to keep your prices competitive without compromising on the quality of your product or choose for the option “technically adequate, best cost”?

The solutions we shall discuss are:

• Outsourcing production abroad
• Impact on design level
• Digitization and Robotization
• (Further) Investing in optimizing production methods

The round table will be hosted by Oerlikon Metco in Lomm.

The program will include use cases by fellow manufacturing companies, group discussions and information about expectations vs reality. Our host has experience in all these aspects and invites the participant to visit their facilities to show the results.
