On June 20th, the Special Interest Group 3DP held a one-hour webinar on the economic considerations of using additive manufacturing (AM) in aerospace.
Harry Kleijnen of KIAMCO welcomed participants, highlighting AM’s growing importance. Onno Ponfoort from Berenschot presented “The Additive Manufacturing Business Case,” discussing AM’s financial viability and long-term benefits.
Next, Daniel Hoogstraate from Materialise shared practical insights on implementing AM in aerospace. Tonya Cole from Dassault Systems concluded with a presentation on how AM fosters innovation and provides strategic advantages in the industry.
The webinar concluded with an invitation to future sessions on AM-material innovation, applications, and certification in aerospace. Stay tuned for more updates and insights.
