Workshop ITAR Compliance & Cyber Security
The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is a set of United States Government regulations on the export and import of defense related articles and services. The NAG is organising a workshop on ITAR compliancy and required cyber security regulations. Only a limited number of places is available, so register now!
ITAR Compliance
If you or your company are doing business with the United States Department of Defense or (one of its) prime contractors, you need to be compliant with the International Traffic of Arms Regulations – ITAR. This can be a complicated affair. “When am I compliant? What are my liabilities? Do I need t o be registered or licensed to conduct trade with the DoD or a contractor?” ITAR-compliancy is a hot and important topic for businesses in the aerospace sector. The NAG is hosting a day of presentations and workshops together with Full Circle Compliance to address these issues
Know How to Do How
Not only will there be an introductory presentation on ITAR-Compliancy from a company’s perspective, but we shall also form small groups to discuss each companies’ individual challenges with ITAR and find ways to start to introduce ITAR-compliancy in your company. The goal is to have some concrete handles at the end of this day to implement compliancy regulations in your company.
Cyber security
All Department of Defense (DoD) contractors that process, store or transmit Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) must meet the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) minimum security standards by December 31, 2017 or risk losing their DoD contracts. [source]
Not only your products, processes and licenses need to comply, but your Information security program as well. This will require you to install security mechanisms to protect you (digital) data.
We have found Jochen de Vet, Chief Information Security Officer at Fokker Technologies willing to give presentation/workshop on this closely related theme.
