[ONLINE MEETING] Information session about REACH Art. 33

Due to the circumstances concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, the NAG has decided to organize the information session about REACH Art. 33 in the form of an online meeting (of 1.5 hours).

Due to the special situation in which we find ourselves, the NAG will temporarily not charge any costs for participating in online activities. An invitation for the online session via email will follow as soon as possible.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last year the NAG has organized an information session about REACH. During this session there appeared to be considerably interest in Art. 33. Therefore we would like to invite you to attend an online session specifically about Art. 33 on May 12, 2020 from 13:00 – 14:30.

Background
The entire supply chain of the aerospace industry is influenced by REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals Regulation) and a hot topic at the moment is the implementation of Art. 33. The European Commission shall start with the documentation of a chemical safety report by June 1th, 2020. Reason for developing and adopting REACH Art. 33 is that a large number of substances that may pose hazards have been placed on the European market. Chemicals used in industrial processes, but also substances used in cleaning products, paints, textiles, electrical appliances etc. are subject to the REACH regulation, leading to an impact on most companies across the EU, including the aerospace and defense industry.

More information about REACH Art. 33 can be found via the link below: https://echa.europa.eu/nl/regulations/reach/candidate-list-substances-in-articles/communication-in-the-supply-chain
