Presentations
Robert Paul Boer, Quality Manager at Technobis Fibre Technologies - ‘’Supply Base Risk Management: Extend your Organization. Engage with your supplier!’’
To minimalize surprises from the supply chain you want as much control over this chain as possible. Especially with the prognosed growth in certain areas AND the pressurized (Dutch) industry, bottlenecks are to be expected. But where? Knowing is half the battle.
Technobis thinks these insights are caused by overview and started meeting with its suppliers. This has led to the processes taking place at its suppliers are being made transparent and issues are tackled in cooperation with said suppliers.
How this is done, what tool is used and what lessons can be learned from this will be shared during this meeting.
Warner van der Veer – Jehee VP Safety & Quality KLM Engineering & Maintenance and Verena Six – ‘’The ABC of behaviour and consequences’’
Do you ever wonder why people don’t just do what you ask of them? The instruction was clear, right? After you just have to do it? Behaviouristic psychology tells us otherwise. Scientific research has proven the amazing crystal clear instructions are only 20% effective. How should you give instructions? The ABC model answers these questions.
Ron Racké, Head of Quality Systems & Airworthiness GKN Aerospace ASEA – ‘’Safety first!’
One of the major changes that was noticed after GKN took over the former Fokker companies from its former owner was its relentless focus on personal safety. Although this was primarily driven by a number of very serious safety accidents in the GKN operations worldwide and a way to deal with the companies’ liability towards its employees it has proven to be a very effective way to enhance the safety awareness among all employees and has resulted in a significant reduction in safety related incidents and serious accidents since it was introduced. This presentation will show the key elements of this approach.
